A Simple Fairy Tale

Bill Withers’ Lovely Day came on the radio as I was driving to school this morning. Boy, do I miss home whenever I listen to his songs. I remember how I cried all the way home as Abah sang Lean On Me after the little accident at Karak last December.

A Funny Thing Happened at School Today
There’s this new substitute teacher who covers for a colleague on her maternity leave. This week is her second week at school and she sits not too far from my desk. My mp3 player was not charged so not by choice, I had to listen to her conversation with one of the GSTTs (untrained contract teachers). Not eavesdropping, mind you. They were talking too loudly.
